On the 10th, healthcare corporation Seragem reported that it recorded sales of 546 billion won and an operating profit of 2.2 billion won last year. Sales declined by 6.6% compared to the previous year, and operating profit decreased by 88%.
To transform into a total home healthcare corporation, the company strengthened its investments in products and services related to seven care solutions, such as beauty devices, which affected its performance decline. Seragem invested a record 22.4 billion won in research and development last year.
Last year, domestic sales decreased by 24.7% to 301.2 billion won, but overseas sales increased by 32.7% to 244.8 billion won.
Sales in China grew by 36.4% to 176.7 billion won, and there was also growth in India, Vietnam, and other markets. Sales in the United States increased by 17.9%.
Seragem plans to continue aggressive investments this year. The strategy aims to solidify its market position by strengthening the lineup of core business areas such as Master and Pause, and expanding its reach by launching new healthcare appliances in fields such as advanced ultrasonic chairs and devices for alleviating depression.
Additionally, the company will enhance customer service by upgrading experience services for the seven care solutions and developing new experience spaces tailored to segmented customer bases.
Seragem plans to expedite the expansion of new businesses, including the establishment of an urban silver town named 'Seragem Wellstown' equipped with healthcare appliances and platforms, as well as launching a furniture brand. In the long term, it aims to establish a foundation for realizing the future home where healthy living can be enjoyed in living rooms, studies, and bedrooms.
