The largest startup festival in the country, 'Comeup,' has designated three organizations as its main organizers: the Korea Venture Business Association, the Korea Startup Forum, and the Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association).
The Korea Startup Forum, which has been managing Comeup since 2022, plans to form a consortium with the Korea Venture Business Association and the VC Association this year to conduct a high-quality Comeup event.
This year, Comeup newly conducted a public recruitment for organizing institutions to expand participation from a wider variety of startups and maximize its global impact.
The Korea Startup Forum is expected to showcase stronger global collaboration and innovative programs based on the global network and startup support experience accumulated over the past three years of managing Comeup. In particular, it plans to strengthen investment linkage and corporate matching programs to provide tailored support for startups to grow and enhance their competitiveness on the global stage.
The Korea Venture Business Association and the VC Association will also leverage their respective strengths to prepare for the main Comeup event starting in the first half of the year. The Korea Venture Business Association will focus on maximizing participation from venture companies to expand the growth base of the startup ecosystem. Additionally, it will promote collaboration between large corporations, mid-sized enterprises, and startups based on open innovation and provide various networks for technological collaboration and market expansion.
The VC Association will concentrate on facilitating exchanges between startups and venture investors. It plans to create substantial investment linkage opportunities through pitching sessions for promising investment companies, one-on-one meetings, and a global investor invitation program to drive investment attraction results both domestically and internationally.
The organizing institutions of Comeup 2025 are expected to engage in substantial preparations with differentiated pre-event programs such as forming advisory committees, recruiting participating companies, promoting the main event, and operating follow-up support programs for selected companies within the first half of the year.
