'BYD' 'YANGWANG' 'DENZA' 'FORMULA BAO' gathered in one place. All are automotive brands under BYD. The four BYD subsidiary brands took part in the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' held at KINTEX in Goyang from the 4th to the 13th. According to a BYD Korea official, there has never been such a large-scale gathering of subsidiary brands outside of China.
BYD Korea will participate in the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' to showcase eight representative models of BYD, which has advanced technology leadership in eco-friendly technologies.
Along with the currently available small electric SUV 'BYD ATTO 3' and the performance-oriented mid-size electric sedan BYD SEAL, along with the stylish mid-size electric SUV 'SEALION 7', the premium brand YANGWANG's flagship large SUV U8 and electric super sports car U9, the luxury 7-seater plug-in hybrid MPV D9 from the high-end brand DENZA, and the high-performance luxury sports sedan Z9GT, as well as the plug-in hybrid SUV BAO 5 from the specialized brand FORMULA BAO, will be exhibited in South Korea for the first time, providing opportunities for visitors to directly experience BYD's innovative technologies.
In particular, BYD aims to express its determination to tackle the giant wave of climate change through innovative technologies in the design of the booth concept 'BYD Tech Wave', visually embodying the brand's forward-looking direction by emphasizing innovation, smart lifestyle, and cutting-edge technology in the spatial organization of each brand zone.
'BYD' zone is designed for visitors to directly experience voice control technology through the internal infotainment system and karaoke function of the BYD ATTO 3.
The luxury brand 'DENZA' zone is designed to allow visitors to experience 'the perfect harmony between humans and technology' through the Z9GT and D9.
Additionally, the 'FORMULA BAO' zone will introduce the BAO 5, which is rugged and optimized for off-road, based on the DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) super hybrid system in an exhibition space that recreates rugged mountainous terrain.
In the premium brand 'YANGWANG' zone, it will showcase the fusion of 'technology and future-oriented design', demonstrating the endless possibilities of technology through the YANGWANG U9, which dynamically moves as if dancing with the DiSus-X chassis control system. Furthermore, the Technology Innovation Zone will also showcase BYD's core technologies, including the blade battery and e-Platform 3.0.
Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD's Asia-Pacific automotive sales division, noted, 'BYD is striving to develop advanced technologies that encompass passenger safety, driving performance, and eco-friendliness' and added, 'By sharing advanced technology with everyone, we will work hard to enable a safer, more comfortable, and enjoyable e-mobility lifestyle.'
Choi Jin-cheol, CEO of BYD Korea's passenger vehicle division, stated, 'It is a nostalgic moment for the BYD brand to participate in the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show as a part of the Korean automotive industry,' and said, 'We will make our best efforts to contribute to a sustainable future and the development of the domestic eco-friendly vehicle market, starting with our participation in the Seoul Mobility Show to communicate directly with domestic customers who are still unfamiliar with BYD.'
In addition, during the mobility show, the BYD booth will hold various events for visitors, including test drives of the BYD ATTO 3, karaoke sessions, social media follow events, and demonstrations of YANGWANG brand technological performances.

The BYD SEALION 7 is the first SUV model in the BYD Ocean series. This vehicle features enhanced cell-to-body (CTB) integrated technology, showcasing improved safety and driving stability. With a high-performance motor that can reach speeds of up to 23,000 RPM, the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is only 4.5 seconds (for the AWD model), presenting a sporty family car that combines powerful, thrilling driving with spacious and comfortable interior space.

The DENZA D9 is a 7-seater PHEV minivan from BYD's luxury brand DENZA, offering spaciousness and comfort through cutting-edge convenience features. Based on the DM-i platform, the driving range is 980 km (based on NEDC standards). The rear seats feature a control panel for seat adjustments and air conditioning, a 12.8-inch touch panel screen, and a -5 to 50℃ refrigerator, providing exceptional convenience to passengers.

The DENZA Z9GT is a high-performance luxury sports sedan that combines elegance and comfort based on the design philosophy of 'Elegance in Motion.' It features the world's first intelligent control technology platform, the e³ Platform, which combines three motors for independent drive (one in front, two in the rear) with rear dual-motor independent steering technology. This technology enables stable driving even on three wheels if one tire loses traction at high speeds of 140 km/h, and it can reach 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.

The BAO 5, the first SUV of the FORMULA BAO brand, is an off-road-oriented mid-size SUV based on the DMO (Dual Mode Off-Road) super hybrid technology platform. DMO combines BYD's innovative non-load-bearing frame designed for hybrids with a specialized off-road hybrid architecture, achieving an optimized balance between off-road performance and comfortable experiences through the DiSus-P intelligent hydraulic body control system. It is equipped with core technologies such as the hydraulic body control system DiSus-P. It boasts a maximum output of 505 kW (about 700 horsepower) and has a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.8 seconds.

The U8 is the first vehicle of BYD's premium brand YANGWANG, specialized for off-road performance. It adopts the 'Time Gate' design language, merging futuristic elements with hardcore styling. The U8 is equipped with the e⁴ Platform, allowing four electric motors to drive each wheel individually, featuring unique functions such as tank turns for maneuvering in place, tire burst stabilization, and emergency flotation, delivering safety and overwhelming performance with 1,200 horsepower that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.

The U9 is BYD's first pure electric super sports car model under its premium brand YANGWANG. Utilizing the e⁴ Platform centered on four independent electric motors, it maximizes user safety, performance, and driving experience with agile, precise operation and independent torque output control for all four wheels. It boasts overwhelming performance with 1,300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1680 N·m, allowing a top speed of 309.19 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.36 seconds.
