BMW Group Korea unveiled the pure electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) "BMW New iX M70 xDrive" (New iX) for the first time in Korea at the press day event of the "2025 Seoul Mobility Show" held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on the 3rd.

The New iX is equipped with BMW Group's latest electrification system. It delivers a maximum output of 659 horsepower, which is 40 horsepower stronger than the previous generation. The maximum torque reaches 103.5 kg·m, and it takes 3.8 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h. The battery capacity is 108.9 kWh, allowing it to travel up to 600 km on a single charge based on European standards.

The interior and exterior design emphasized a luxurious and sporty feel. The iconic "kidney grille," a symbol of BMW, features the BMW Iconic Glow function that emits light along its edges, while the interior features an M-exclusive design reminiscent of a high-end sports car cockpit. The official domestic launch is set to take place in the third quarter of this year.

On the same day, BMW also unveiled for the first time in Korea its brand's first medium-sized pure electric Gran Coupe, the "BMW New i4 M50 xDrive." This vehicle produces a maximum output of 544 horsepower and a maximum torque of 81.1 kg·m, and it is set to launch in the domestic market during the second quarter of this year.

BMW Group's small car brand MINI also unveiled the all-new fourth generation "The New MINI JCW" for the first time in Korea. This model marks the first introduction to the domestic market in 10 years since 2015. It is equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces a maximum output of 231 horsepower and a maximum torque of 38.8 kg·m, as well as a 7-speed sports dual-clutch automatic transmission. Additionally, The New MINI Cooper Convertible was also unveiled.

BMW Korea showcased a total of 13 models, including 6 BMW models and 5 MINI models, at this year's Seoul Mobility Show. BMW Group Korea announced that it will introduce the "BMW BEV Membership" program this year for the first time in Korea, providing customers with opportunities to test drive electric vehicles to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
