Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the new hydrogen electric vehicle, 'The All-New Nexo,' and the electric vehicle 'The New Ioniq 6' for the first time in the world.
Jose Munoz, president of Hyundai Motor Company, noted at the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show' held in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on the 3rd, 'We will continue to innovate future mobility with high-quality products and a customer-centric lineup, leading the electrification era.'
Munoz said, 'As competition intensifies, rapid response is crucial for success,' adding, 'This new car launch is essential to global business and is based on the DNA of Hyundai Motor Company, which responds flexibly to challenges.'
'The All-New Nexo' is a completely remodeled model of a hydrogen electric vehicle introduced for the first time in seven years since its launch in March 2018. Hyundai Motor Company has elaborated on 'The All-New Nexo' based on the hydrogen electric vehicle concept car 'Initium,' unveiled last October.
'The All-New Nexo' features a robust image of a sports utility vehicle (SUV) while possessing the unique design of a hydrogen electric vehicle. As an eco-friendly model, it incorporates environmentally friendly materials like recycled plastics and bio paints throughout the interior and exterior.
The front daytime running lights and rear combination lamps have a design inspired by Hyundai Motor Group's hydrogen brand symbol, 'HTWO.' The interior has a driver-centric panoramic curved display and digital side mirrors, enhancing practicality and openness. The rear overhang has been extended by 80mm from the previous model, providing 510 liters of trunk space.
'The All-New Nexo' features a motor system equipped with two inverters that enhances efficiency to 90%, achieving a maximum motor output of 150 kilowatts (kW). Compared to the previous model, system efficiency has improved by 1.3 percentage points (P), and motor output has increased by 25%.
The zero to 100 km/h acceleration time is 7.8 seconds from a complete stop. The charging time is about 5 minutes, allowing for over 700 km of driving on a single charge, according to Hyundai Motor Company. The vehicle is equipped with a route planner that contains real-time information on the national hydrogen charging infrastructure to provide optimal travel routes.
On the same day, Hyundai Motor Company also unveiled the design of 'The New Ioniq 6' and 'The New Ioniq 6 N Line' for the first time. 'The New Ioniq 6' is a facelift model of the Ioniq 6 launched in September 2022, featuring a silhouette that maximizes elegance and proportionality.
Hyundai Motor Company explained that the starting point of the vehicle's front hood (bonnet) has been raised, and the existing hood has been improved to a shark nose-shaped long hood reminiscent of a shark's snout, creating an impression of slicing through the air. The existing protruding spoiler (a device installed on the rear of the vehicle that prevents lift) has been removed, completing a sleek side profile.
'The New Ioniq 6 N Line' features bumper designs with garnishes resembling wings, adding a dynamic image. The interior design has been improved to focus on providing a more comfortable and intuitive user experience, including refinements to the arrangement of center console components.
