The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 2nd that it will recruit venture companies to participate in the 'Overseas Excellent Software (SW) Developer Recruitment Linkage Project' starting from the 3rd.
This project, which was introduced for the first time last year, is a program that links excellent software developers, including graduates from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), to support small and venture businesses struggling with recruitment of specialized software personnel.
In 2024, a total of 358 domestic venture companies applied, and 41 companies ultimately hired 206 Indian software developers. Of these, 201 developers worked remotely from the local area, while 5 developers came to Korea.
This year's project plans to continuously match entrepreneurs with Indian software developers recruited locally starting from May 1 and until the end of the year.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups aims to increase the pool of various job seekers in India from 15,000 to 30,000 to link quality personnel.
On the 22nd, a business briefing will be held at the TIPS Town S1 (TIPS Hall) in Seoul to help venture companies participating in the project understand legal issues related to local recruitment of Indian software personnel, employment relationships, considerations when hiring, and overall recruitment matters.
