KD Navien announced on the 1st that it will start a subscription service for its 'three-dimensional (3D) air hood,' 'ventilation purifier,' and the combined 'ventilation purifier Magic Plus' for a monthly fee of 20,000 to 30,000 won.
This month, KD Navien launched the Navien Magic, which includes products such as electric and gas ranges, range hoods, electric ovens, and microwaves, in addition to its existing business involving boilers. The company is strengthening its kitchen appliance business by introducing a subscription service.
KD Navien's '3D air hood' is a product that effectively manages cooking fumes, which are a leading cause of indoor air quality pollution. It functions to prevent fine dust, harmful substances, and odors generated during cooking from spreading indoors by forming an air curtain from three directions: front, left, and right.
Customers who wish to subscribe can choose a subscription period between 3 to 6 years and a care cycle of 6 to 12 months. The monthly subscription fee, depending on the subscription period and care cycle, ranges from 22,900 won to 24,900 won. The care services include steam care cleaning to remove grease from the hood surface, management of the blower and filter, cleaning and replacement of consumables, and phytoncide deodorization.
The ventilation purifier is an 'indoor air quality management solution' that provides both air purification and ventilation simultaneously. It purifies the internal air through its air purification function while a ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode (LED) equipped clean filter system filters the external air cleanly before supplying it indoors. The company explains that one unit can manage the air in the entire house. The monthly subscription fee can be around 30,000 won based on the subscription period (3 to 6 years) and care cycle (6 to 12 months), and users can receive free after-service care during the subscription period.
The combined 'ventilation purifier Magic Plus' integrates the 3D air hood and the ventilation purifier into a single system to manage indoor air quality comprehensively. When cooking starts on the cooktop, the '3D air hood' detects it and begins operation, then the ventilation purifier's fresh air mode activates, swiftly expelling cooking fumes outside to create a pleasant kitchen environment. Users can check the status of indoor air quality, such as carbon dioxide levels, in real-time through an air monitor. A combined discount applies when subscribing to 'ventilation purifier Magic Plus,' making it more cost-effective compared to subscribing to the 3D air hood and the ventilation purifier separately.
To celebrate the launch of the subscription service, KD Navien will hold a promotion offering a 50% discount on the subscription fee for 12 months to those who apply for the 3D air hood subscription starting April 1. Detailed information can be found on KD Navien's official online platform 'Navien House.'
