The memorial service, which lasted about 40 minutes, began with a moment of silence for the deceased followed by a biography introduction, a reading of memorial remarks, a video screening of the deceased's life, and a flower offering.

Chairman Cho Hyun-joon, commemorating his father, emphasized, "Today's Hyosung is the result of the vision and steel-like spirit of challenge that took advantage of the changes in the era set by my father."

As an example, Chairman Cho recalled, "My father always said, 'Crises can arise at any time, and we must become a company that can turn those crises into opportunities.' He emphasized that when working passionately to improve relations between Korea and Japan and between Korea and the United States, the three nations of Korea, the U.S., and Japan should be concerned together."

He also introduced that the late honorary chairman kept a watchful eye on China, saying, "My father admired China's commitment to technology and the research passion of its engineering students, who produce 5 million engineers each year, predicting that it would only be a matter of time before China surpassed our nation and Japan."

Chairman Cho remarked, "There have been far too many events domestically and internationally, and uncertainty has only grown. In a time when we must find our way through the endless turmoil, my father's absence deeply resonates in my bones."

He added, "I will strive to make Hyosung a company that prepares for the future, turns crises into opportunities, and responds swiftly to global conditions, following my father's wishes."

He continued, "In this way, I will make Hyosung a company that is as solid as granite, capable of surviving any crisis for the next century."

He emphasized, "I will do my best alongside Cho Hyun-sung, vice chairman of HS HYOSUNG, who is working hard at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting, to fulfill our roles in the Korea-U.S.-Japan economic security alliance."

After the company's memorial service, the family and top executives moved to the grave site in Gyeonggi Province to continue the memorial event.

Hyosung will open its headquarters memorial site from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the 31st, allowing general employees to freely offer flowers and pay their respects.

The late honorary chairman, who helped grow Hyosung, passed away on March 29 last year at the age of 89.
