LS ELECTRIC has secured a contract to supply a power system worth 160 billion won to a data center of a big tech corporation in the United States.
LS ELECTRIC announced on the 18th that it has signed a contract worth 162.5 billion won ($111.71 million) for a big tech data center project with its U.S. subsidiary LS ELECTRIC America. This involves supplying a power and distribution system to LS ELECTRIC America, which won the order for the power supply system for the big tech data center. The contract period is until Oct. 27.
LS ELECTRIC previously entered into a supply contract worth $62.24 million for the same project.
Koo Ja-kyun, chairman of LS ELECTRIC, noted last month that the winning of the big tech data center project was imminent.
LS ELECTRIC is expanding its business in the United States due to a booming market for electric equipment. It is supplying distribution panels to xAI, an artificial intelligence (AI) corporation founded by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
