The spare engine is the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 TEN (Thrust Efficiency and New technology) used for the B787 aircraft.

Air Premia explained that the introduction of the additional spare engine was undertaken to establish extra safety measures as the global supply chain for the aviation industry has become unstable.

Currently, Air Premia owns 6 aircraft and 2 spare engines, with plans to introduce 3 new aircraft by the end of this year. The company intends to secure a third spare engine as well.

A representative from Air Premia noted, 'At this time when the global supply chain is collapsing, the most reliable way to ensure safety and punctuality is to have spare engines on hand.' They added, 'We will do our best to enhance customer trust.'
