HYUNDAI WIA noted that it participated for the first time in the Middle East and Africa's largest defense industry exhibition, the 'IDEX (International Defense Exhibition & Conference) 2025,' held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 17th.
At IDEX, which runs from today until 21st (local time), HYUNDAI WIA unveiled a physical model of the 'mobile howitzer system' that has been lightweighted and mounted on vehicles.
The lightweight 105 mm self-propelled artillery mounted on small tactical vehicles can also be transported by large transport helicopters. The vehicle-mounted 81 mm mortar features a reduced firing delay, shortened from the previous 5 minutes to 10 seconds.
In addition, they also showcased an integrated defense system (ADS) against drones that can be mounted on small and medium tactical vehicles, as well as a remote weapon system (RCWS) that allows firing from within the vehicle.
A HYUNDAI WIA representative said, "We will continue to develop mobility-based artillery systems and strive to be recognized as a competitive artillery specialist overseas."
