CJ Logistics reported on 11th that last year's operating profit was provisionally estimated to have increased by 10.5% compared to the previous year, reaching 530.7 billion won.
During the same period, sales were provisionally recorded at 12.1168 trillion won, a 3% increase, and net income was provisionally estimated at 26.83 billion won, also a 10.5% increase.
By institutional sector, the sales in the parcel and e-commerce sector recorded 37.289 billion won, representing a 0.2% increase compared to the previous year. Operating profit for this sector decreased by 3% due to the expansion of integrated logistics.
The sales in the contract logistics (CL) sector increased by 4.6% compared to the previous year, reaching 29.857 billion won, while operating profit grew by 28.1%, amounting to 1.848 billion won.
The sales in contract logistics significantly increased, with new orders, including a logistics contract for Samdasoo outside of Jeju signed with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Provincial Development Corporation last May, totaling 730 billion won.
Sales and operating profit in the global institutional sector reached 44.329 billion won and 862 million won, respectively, reflecting increases of 5.4% and 11.3% compared to the previous year.
CJ Logistics explained, 'The growth of local contract logistics businesses in strategic countries such as the United States and India, along with the expansion of forwarding business sales, contributed to these results.'
CJ Logistics will distribute 800 won in dividends per common share for last year’s settlement of account. The dividend record date is March 31.
