Korean Air and Hanjin KAL conducted their regular executive appointments on the 15th of 2025. Korean Air and Asiana Airlines focused on taking a new leap forward as a unified airline through this executive appointment.

At Korean Air, CEO Woo Ki-hong was promoted to vice chairman. At Hanjin KAL, the holding company of Hanjin Group, CEO Ryu Kyung-pyo was also promoted to vice chairman.

The promotions at Korean Air included a total of 18 individuals, led by vice chairman Woo Ki-hong. Executive Director Eom Jae-dong and Executive Director Park Hee-don were promoted to vice presidents, while Senior Managing Director Ko Kwang-ho and two others were promoted to executive directors. Senior Vice President Kim Woo-hee and 12 others were promoted to new managing directors.

Asiana Airlines also conducted appointments for 15 individuals. Song Bo-young and two others were appointed as vice presidents, while Seo Sang-hoon and four others were promoted to executive directors.
