A computer error occurred on Shinhan Bank's website and mobile application, 'Shinhan SOL', causing inconvenience for customers. The issue has now been resolved.
According to Shinhan Bank on the 18th, a computer error occurred around 3:30 p.m. that prevented money transfers and account transactions for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The issue was resolved by 5 p.m.
Shinhan Bank announced at 4 p.m., “Currently, communication with external agencies is not smooth, causing delays in some services during transaction processing. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.” Later, at 5 p.m., it stated, “Transactions were temporarily delayed, but all services have now returned to normal,” and added, “We will make every effort to provide more stable services by preparing measures to prevent recurrence in the future.”
The officials from Shinhan Bank reported that internal programs caused the problem and are working to determine the exact cause.
