Meta Robotics announced on the 16th that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with YAS HEALTHCARE, a subsidiary of DAS HOLDING based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The two companies agreed to jointly establish and operate a K-beauty and medical wellness center at 'Peninsula' in Business Bay, a central commercial district in Dubai, UAE. They aim to open by the end of this year. Meta Robotics explained that this facility will be the first Korean-style beauty and wellness center to receive medical licensing in the Middle East.
Meta Robotics also plans to establish a joint venture (JV) with YAS HEALTHCARE to provide services such as lifting, stem cell treatment, hair transplantation, integrated beauty in the dental field, and traditional medicine diet.
Meta Robotics emphasized that it is exporting a 'comprehensive K-medical platform' beyond just opening hospitals. To achieve this, it decided to collaborate with its affiliates, MoMo Labs (hair transplantation and scalp care) and its subsidiary METAPHARM (lifting, dermatology, stem cells, functional cosmetics, traditional medicine diet, implants). It also presented a blueprint to showcase differentiated technology utilizing the internally developed artificial intelligence (AI)-based hair transplantation robot 'ARTAS iX®.'
A representative from Meta Robotics stated, 'This agreement is the starting point for spreading the company's next-generation K-beauty medical platform to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA),' and noted, 'Starting with a successful JV, we will expand our business throughout the Middle East and further into Europe.'
