As of the morning, the SGI Seoul Guarantee insurance computer system has been experiencing disruptions for over 12 hours. SGI Seoul Guarantee provides lifestyle-oriented financial services, including mobile phone installment activation and real estate rental guarantees, as well as loan guarantees for financial institutions. Currently, loans from financial institutions involving SGI Seoul Guarantee are completely blocked for both face-to-face and non-face-to-face transactions.
To minimize consumer damage regarding Jeonse loans, SGI Seoul Guarantee is negotiating with major banks to allow tenants who are eligible for guarantee issuance to proceed with loan disbursement prior to joining the guarantee plan. As a result, major banks are currently restructuring their internal processes to handle Jeonse loans normally.
Due to the system failure, there was a temporary error in connecting to the customer support center (call center), but the company explained that by around 3 p.m., the issue was resolved, and the company’s representative number and branch phone connections are operating normally.
SGI Seoul Guarantee plans to actively communicate with financial authorities and related institutions regarding the progress of damage, recovery status, and measures to prevent recurrence in the future.
