As of 11:13 a.m. on that day, the KOSPI index is trading at 3185.67, up 2.44 points (0.08%) from the previous day. After breaching the 3200 mark early in the session, it slightly surrendered some of its gains. In the securities market, individuals and institutions recorded net purchases of 166.7 billion won and 200 million won, while foreigners sold 159.2 billion won worth of stocks.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electronics Pref. have risen more than 2%, while LG Energy Solution and Kia have also gained about 1%. Hyundai Motor (0.96%) and KB Financial (0.77%) are also in the rising trend. However, Naver (-1.73%), Samsung Biologics (-1.11%), Celltrion (-0.34%), and SK hynix (-0.17%) are declining.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index is trading at 802.33, up 4.63 points (0.58%) from the previous day. It is the first time the KOSDAQ index has surpassed the 800 mark since the 24th of last month. In the KOSDAQ market, foreigners and institutions are buying 63 billion won and 10.5 billion won, respectively, while individuals are net selling stocks amounting to 64.4 billion won.
The top stocks in the KOSDAQ market are showing mixed trends. While ECOPRO BM (4.14%), Ecopro (3.86%), HLB (2.96%), LEENO Industrial (1.31%), and PharmaResearch (0.18%) are gaining, LigaChem Biosciences (-3.39%), Peptron (-2.85%), Alteogen (-1.34%), Rainbow Robotics (-1.11%), and HUGEL (-0.28%) are experiencing declines.
In the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won (won-dollar) exchange rate against the U.S. dollar is trading at 1373.8 won, down 0.1 won from the previous transaction.
