Woori Bank held a briefing on the "inclusive financial platform" on the 10th at its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, and announced it will expand its financial services aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners.

During the briefing, Jeong Jin-wan, president of Woori Bank, noted, "Woori Bank has prepared for inclusive finance for a long time," and added, "We will expand beyond existing lending and deposit businesses to platform services and financial support for small and medium-sized corporations' supply chains." Jeong emphasized, "Since 99% of our companies are small and medium-sized corporations and 88% of employment occurs in small and medium-sized corporations, we will practice finance for fairness and coexistence."

Following this, the introduction of Woori Bank's corporate finance platform took place. Woori Bank currently operates WonBiz Plaza, WonBiz e-MP, and Woori Safe Settlement. WonBiz Plaza is a supply chain management platform that provides solutions necessary for procurement-related tasks of small and medium-sized corporations, including purchase requests, quotes, contracts, and orders. WonBiz e-MP is a data management platform that allows financial support based on corporate data. Woori Safe Settlement is a settlement service in which Woori Bank directly manages the settlement payments generated from electronic commerce.

Woori Bank emphasized that the three platforms are offered at no cost or minimal expense. In the case of the free service, Woori Safe Settlement, there were initial discussions about charging a commission fee during the planning stages. However, it is rumored that Jeong ordered the direct provision of the free service, saying, "Managing settlement payments can benefit the bank by attracting low-cost deposits."

Lee Deok-kyu, vice administrator of Woori Bank's platform project division, explained, "Woori Bank's corporate finance platform minimizes the burden on users," and added, "While the bank cannot completely disregard revenue, the service has a greater aspect of inclusiveness than profit."
