Domestic venture capital (VC) Atinum Investment invested in a U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) medical startup.
On the 9th, Atinum Investment announced that it recently completed an investment in the U.S. medical imaging acceleration solutions technology startup 'Subtle Medical'.
Founded by professors from Stanford University, Subtle Medical's core technology accelerates the acquisition of medical imaging data across various modalities (MRI, PET) by up to 80% using deep learning technology.
Patients can reduce their exposure time to medical imaging equipment, while medical staff and hospitals can improve the efficiency of expensive medical imaging equipment and enhance hospital revenue.
The company has already supplied its solutions to renowned medical institutions, including the U.S. MD Anderson Cancer Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Before Atinum Investment, investments were already completed by Samsung Venture Investment and BRV Capital, and Subtle Medical plans to utilize this investment to enter the Korean market.
Lim Sang-min, a director at Atinum Investment, said, 'Subtle Medical is achieving the number one performance in the MRI imaging data market,' adding that the company plans to continue discovering corporations with technological competitiveness.
