Mirae Asset Securities announced on the 9th that it will conduct subscriptions for 'Government Bonds for individual investors in July 2025.' The subscription period is from today until the 15th.
The total issuance limit is 140 billion won. By maturity, ▲ 5-year bonds 90 billion won ▲ 10-year bonds 40 billion won ▲ 20-year bonds 10 billion won.
The Government Bonds for individual investors in July feature historically high additional charges of 0.5% for 10-year bonds and 0.675% for 20-year bonds. The pre-tax maturity revenue and annual average revenue are ▲ 5-year bonds 16.08% (annual 3.21%) ▲ 10-year bonds 39.47% (annual 3.94%) ▲ 20-year bonds 98.90% (annual 4.94%). These rates apply only at maturity holding, including the additional charges.
Starting this month, applications for early redemption of the Government Bonds for individual investors issued in June last year can be submitted. This is because one year has passed since the issue date, entering the 13th month.
Applications for early redemption will be possible from the 10th to the 16th. This can be done by visiting a sales agency, Mirae Asset Securities, or online.
However, if early redemption is made, only the interest according to the nominal interest rate can be refunded, and benefits such as compound interest with the additional charge or the separate taxation of interest income cannot be received.
