The Financial Supervisory Service announced on the 6th that it will conduct a nationwide intensive campaign to prevent insurance fraud in collaboration with the Life and General Insurance Association of Korea during the second half of this year.
During this campaign against insurance fraud, they will distribute short videos parodying the Netflix series "Squid Game," and will promote advertisements on bus stop screens and Kakao banners. The FSS emphasized that individuals involved in insurance fraud may face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, parodying a segment of the episode "The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed."
An insurance fraud prevention campaign will also be conducted through large screens at 15 bus stops in downtown Seoul, such as Gwanghwamun and Gangnam Station, where there is a high floating population.
Meanwhile, the FSS and the association plan to work with related agencies such as the police and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service to ensure that strict penalties for insurance fraud are enforced.
