KakaoBank

KakaoBank resumed new applications for credit loans, which had been temporarily suspended due to new lending regulations, on the 3rd.

KakaoBank announced that it resumed new applications for credit loans at 5 p.m. on the same day, after temporarily suspending them due to the government's announcement of a household loan management enhancement plan on the 27th of last month. It had been five days since the loan applications were halted to reflect the new regulatory provisions in the system, starting from the 28th of last month.

Starting from this day, all loan applications at KakaoBank, excluding housing mortgage loans, such as credit loans, switching credit loans, and overdraft loans, are possible. The computerized work related to the mortgage loan application has not yet been completed. A KakaoBank official noted, "We are doing our best to resume mortgage loans."

The non-face-to-face reception of mortgage loans at banks is expected to normalize from next week. Banks had temporarily suspended non-face-to-face loan applications since the 28th of last month to incorporate the new regulatory provisions into their systems.
