Kim Byung-hoon, the CEO who founded the beauty device company APR, has become the new owner of the luxury residential complex Acro Seoul Forest penthouse in Seongsu-dong. The sale price was 29 billion won, and the seller is Lee Hae-sung, CEO of Daelim D&I.
According to investment banks and the real estate industry on the 2nd, a 273.92㎡ (104 pyeong) Acro Seoul Forest penthouse was sold for 29 billion won. The deposit has been paid, and the transaction is currently ongoing. Based on the supply area of 344㎡, the price per pyeong is 278 million won. This marks a record high price for both the Acro Seoul Forest complex and the nationwide apartment price per pyeong.
The Acro Seoul Forest penthouse consists of a total of six units, including four units of 264㎡ (100 pyeong) and two units of 273㎡ (104 pyeong). It is known that actors Jeon Ji-hyun and her husband, as well as Kim Gi-moon, chairman of J.ESTINA, are among the current residents. Recently, it has also become famous that actress Choi Ran and former basketball player Lee Chung-hee sold a 198㎡ (60 pyeong) unit for 248.3 million won per pyeong, setting a previous highest price.
The unit purchased by CEO Kim Byung-hoon is property allocated to Lee Hae-sung, the third generation of the DL Group, who also bought the unit. Currently, there are two units of 104 pyeong penthouses, one owned by DL E&C and the other by CEO Lee Hae-sung.
Born in 1988, CEO Kim Byung-hoon founded APR at the age of 25 with capital of 50 million won and has grown it into a ‘K-beauty giant’ with a market capitalization of 5.65 trillion won.
Key brands include the home beauty device ‘AGE-R (Booster Pro)’ as well as MediCube, April Skin, and Nerdy. Last year, the company recorded a revenue of 722.8 billion won and an operating profit of 122.7 billion won.
APR is currently the second-largest beauty corporation in Korea by market capitalization. It recently surpassed LG H&H (approximately 5 trillion won) and follows Amorepacific Corporation (approximately 7.98 trillion won).
