Shinhan Bank announced on the 29th that it will expand its 'Evening Plus' channel, which allows banking services in the evenings, from the existing 20 to 78 digital lounges nationwide starting from the 30th.
Shinhan Bank introduced the 'Digital Desk' in 2021 and is providing video-based financial consulting services at general branches and unmanned digital lounges. The Digital Desk is used by an average of approximately 1,300 people per day. Senior citizens who are not familiar with smartphone use or foreign customers with language barriers can easily receive consultations with the help of concierges stationed on-site.
With the implementation of the expansion of digital lounges, Shinhan Bank extended its counseling hours from the existing 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The foreign language counseling service, known as 'Shinhan Global Plus,' has also been added to 30 digital lounges, mainly in areas densely populated with foreigners, enhancing convenience for foreign customers.
Shinhan Bank also operates the 'Saturday Plus' service, which provides video-based financial consulting services on Saturdays. It is available at seven digital lounges nationwide, with operating hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
