U.S. President Donald Trump indicated a direct attack on Iran, and as tensions in the Middle East escalated, virtual assets generally showed a downward trend.
As of 8:19 a.m. on the 20th, according to global coin market tracking site CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin is trading at $104,824, down 0.09% from 24 hours ago. Ripple (XRP), the fourth largest by market capitalization, fell 0.33% to $2.16, and Solana decreased by 0.16% to $147. However, Ethereum, the second largest by market cap, saw a slight increase of 0.05%, recording $2,527.
President Trump did not rule out the possibility of negotiations with Iran on the same day, but he stated, "I will decide whether to attack within the next two weeks," escalating tensions in the Middle East. Consequently, it is analyzed that virtual assets are showing weakness.
Meanwhile, the New York capital market was closed for 'Emancipation Day' on the same day.
