Venture capital (VC) UTC Investment has invested in a military drone development startup.
UTC Investment noted on the 19th that it participated in the Pre-Series A funding of military drone development startup AD Systems, investing 1 billion won.
AD Systems, established in 2019, is an aerospace defense startup that develops drones and has the technology to perform all processes from drone design to mass production.
Its flagship product, the stealth drone AD-3000, has been validated for performance by major domestic defense leaders and has even been adopted as a real-world reconnaissance drone.
AD Systems plans to utilize this investment to develop the next-generation unmanned attack aircraft AD-4000, capable of not only reconnaissance but also strikes.
Director General Lee Gil-hoon said, "AD Systems possesses drone production technology that enables actual delivery for operational purposes, not just for research."
