As overseas stock investments increase, NH Investment & Securities plans to provide investment information, including analysis reports on major overseas listed companies. On the 17th, CEO Yoon Byeong-wun said, "With the slogan 'Invest like a local,' we will provide timely information and strategies to investors, prioritizing asset growth."
At the event 'The First Media Day: Refreshing Overseas Investment,' held at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, CEO Yoon stated, "There are limits to mere fee competition among securities companies, and we will strive to become a customer platform that helps make correct investment decisions."
NH Investment & Securities presented a blueprint to assist overseas stock investors based on three strategies: ▲Investment information ▲Transaction convenience ▲Fee burden reduction.
First, NH Investment & Securities will provide investment content from Fundstrat's chief strategist Tom Lee and technical analyst Mark L. Newton, for the first time in Korea through an exclusive contract with 3PRO's GIN (Global Investors’ Network) service. It will also exclusively provide headlines from major foreign media outlets like The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and The Economist, as well as market indicator analysis materials. All content can be viewed every morning and evening in NH Investment & Securities' mobile trading system (MTS), enhanced with artificial intelligence (AI) summaries, Korean translation, and dubbing.
NH Investment & Securities also unveiled its main service, 'Why Does It Move?' Through a partnership with U.S. financial media Benzinga, which has a monthly net user count of 14 million, it analyzes and summarizes in real-time the causes of stock price fluctuations based on performance, disclosures, and news of U.S. stocks with a market capitalization of over $100 million. It also presents stocks with similar issues.
NH Investment & Securities plans to introduce linked services through a three-year exclusive contract with Seeking Alpha in the second half of this year. Seeking Alpha is a representative U.S. financial and investment platform with a monthly net user count of 20 million and 18,000 in-house analysts. The service will expand starting with stock-specific news and expert analysis and ratings, along with investment health checks on customer balances and interest groups, and guides to alternative stocks for underperforming stocks.
NH Investment & Securities is also developing an AI agent service for extensive information search and transaction support, and plans to showcase verified algorithms in collaboration with U.S. local API providers.
Since March, NH Investment & Securities has been offering transaction benefits through the 'Zero Fee Refreshing Overseas Investment' event, including $0 transaction fees for U.S. stock trading (up to two years if conditions are met), 100% preferential automatic currency exchange, and free buying fees for stock accumulation.
The main reason NH Investment & Securities emphasized change is that it judged that domestic investment funds are concentrated in some stocks, leading to low investment revenue. While the average daily trading volume of overseas stocks increased 17-fold from 100 billion won in 2019 to 1.7 trillion won as of May this year, most domestic investors are focusing their investments on a few well-known stocks like NVIDIA and Tesla. Consequently, the proportion of profitable customers among the 550,000 clients of NH Investment & Securities' 'Tree Securities' was limited to 48.5% as of the end of last month.
Kang Min-hoon, head of the digital business division at NH Investment & Securities, noted, "In an era where information gaps create revenue gaps, NH Investment & Securities will provide content and investment strategy-centered services to redefine the market standards and become a partner in the growth of customer assets."
