LS SECURITIES projected on the 17th that LEENO Industrial, a semiconductor testing equipment parts company, will achieve its best performance in the second quarter of this year (April to June). LS SECURITIES maintained a 'Buy' investment opinion on LEENO Industrial and raised the target price from 48,000 won to 56,000 won, which is 16.2% higher than the previous day's closing price of 48,200 won.
Researcher Jeong Hong-sik of LS SECURITIES projected that LEENO Industrial will record sales of 100.2 billion won and an operating profit of 46.3 billion won in the second quarter of this year. These figures are increases of 41.1% and 39.4%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. The average market forecast of 82.9 billion won in sales and 38.4 billion won in operating profit has also been exceeded.
Researcher Jeong noted that the reason for raising LEENO Industrial's projections was the high growth potential of the 'IC test socket' sector. An IC test socket is a consumable part used for the final inspection to check whether a semiconductor chip (IC) operates properly.
Researcher Jeong estimated that LEENO Industrial's sales from IC test sockets would reach 72.3 billion won in the second quarter of this year. This is an increase of 58.5% compared to the same period last year. He stated, “Considering the current global test socket situation, it is estimated that LEENO Industrial is simultaneously expanding its supply of new information technology (IT) equipment along with mobile devices.”
Researcher Jeong evaluated that LEENO Industrial is expected to achieve results exceeding market expectations in the short term, and its planned factory transfer in the fourth quarter of 2026 could serve as a momentum for long-term stock price increases.
Researcher Jeong said, “The transfer of LEENO Industrial's factory should not be interpreted simply as an expansion of production capacity (CAPA), but will be more important in terms of diversifying sockets in response to customer demands.” He added, “LEENO Industrial is expected to develop various types of IC test sockets in response to environmental changes in IT equipment after 2026.”
