Kakao Pay announced on the 17th the launch of 'PayAI,' its first generative AI-based consulting bot service, titled 'Managing my health with AI.'

PayAI is a generative AI-based consulting bot service from Kakao Pay built on sLLM (lightweight large language model) and machine learning. sLLM is specialized in providing in-depth and professional answers by learning specific knowledge, including proprietary data from corporations, with a smaller parameter size than LLM (large language model).

Kakao Pay has implemented an AI consulting service that can be easily used in real life through beta service operations and enhancement work to refine the sLLM applied to 'PayAI.'

The 'Managing my health with AI' service provides personalized health and insurance consultations based on the user's health data. When a user links their insurance MyData to Kakao Pay, the service comprehensively utilizes health examination data from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service over the past two years within three years to predict diseases the user may be vulnerable to and offer health-related consultations.

If a user requests an analysis of their subscribed insurance, the service analyzes the current coverage status for specific diseases based on health information and compares it with the average coverage amounts for user groups of similar age ranges. Through this, users can objectively assess their coverage level and consider rational insurance options. Additionally, users can connect with insurance experts for consultations if needed, providing substantial help in making insurance choices.

Moreover, it provides information on health and insurance terms that are generally difficult to understand. Kakao Pay plans to expand the domain of PayAI into various financial sectors. The 'Managing my health with AI' service can be found in the 'Convenience' category of the full tab on the Kakao Pay app or KakaoTalk Kakao Pay Home, and users can also search for the service name by selecting the magnifying glass in the upper right corner.

Kakao Pay noted, "By offering health and insurance consultations based on generative AI, we focused on helping users proactively manage their health. While continuously refining the service through user feedback, we will strive to expand the application scope of PayAI beyond existing financial sectors into areas closely linked to users' daily lives in order to provide an innovative financial platform experience."
