Samil PwC held a partner meeting on the morning of the 13th and announced the promotion of 32 new partners and key positions.
The newly appointed partners this year include experts in promising industries such as semiconductors and platforms, as well as global experts in international tax and overseas listing services, corporations merger and acquisition advisory, and artificial intelligence (AI) and digital service experts.
Additionally, on that day, Samil announced promotions for partner Ryu Gil-joo as the customer representative and partners Noh Young-seok, Baek Bong-jun, Lee Gi-bok, Lee Seung-hwan, and Jinn Bong-jae as deputy representatives to respond promptly to domestic and international market changes.
Born in 1971, customer representative Ryu Gil-joo graduated from Sogang University and joined Samil in 1995, providing merger and acquisition (M&A) advisory services to large corporations such as SK Group. He has been recognized for his networking and customer response abilities as the head of the deal division for large corporate clients, and is expected to uphold a customer-centric philosophy in overseeing Samil's client activities this time.
Deputy representative Noh Young-seok has been active as a tax advisory leader for Japanese clients since joining Samil PwC, leveraging his experience working at PwC's Tokyo office for two years starting in 2006. He plans to take the lead in establishing and implementing a total service strategy targeting multinational corporate clients, including those in Japan.
Baek Bong-jun, appointed as the market leader for the audit division, has provided accounting audit and consulting services to publicly listed corporations in the shipping, aviation, construction, and shipbuilding industries at Samil PwC. Lee Gi-bok, another deputy representative, has offered various services to chemical and secondary battery corporations and has built global capabilities by supporting domestic large corporations' overseas business roles at PwC's New York and Los Angeles offices for seven years. He has also been concurrently serving as the leader of Samil's organizational culture and human resources department since 2023.
Deputy representative Lee Seung-hwan has provided accounting audit services for the order industry and consumer goods industry, and has recently created various business automation solution services. He is set to lead Samil's innovative growth as the head of the newly established AX Node organization. Deputy representative Jinn Bong-jae has provided external audits for large domestic insurance companies, consulting on the introduction of IFRS 17 and insurance capital regulations.
Also, on that day, Samil announced the official launch of the 'AX Node' organization to lead customer corporations' digital transformation (DX) and artificial intelligence (AX) innovations by combining digital capabilities and accounting expertise. The AX Node, composed of accounting experts and AI specialists, is expected to proactively identify and support areas for corporate innovation by utilizing digital technologies such as AI and automation based on field experience and expertise.
