Following President Lee Jae-myung's directive, military loudspeaker broadcasts aimed at North Korea have ceased, and reports indicate that North Korea's noise broadcasts aimed at the South have also stopped, leading to a strong performance in North-South economic cooperation-related stocks early in trading on the 12th.

As of 9:25 a.m. on this day, Ananti was trading at 9,760 won, up 1,970 won (25.29%) from the previous trading day. It rose to 9,910 won during the session, marking a new high for the year. Ananti is classified as a North-South economic cooperation stock as it has previously pursued a project at the Mount Geumgang resort.

Other related stocks such as Good People (16.96%), MONA YONGPYONG (16.08%), J.ESTINA (12.24%), and Ilshin Stone (8.86%) have all risen simultaneously.

On this day, President Lee stated through social media, “As of 2 p.m. on the 11th, I instructed our military to cease loudspeaker broadcasts aimed at the North being conducted in the front-line area,” and added, “I hope this measure will help ease military tensions between the North and South and rebuild trust in each other.” This comes one year after the decision to resume broadcasting was made in June of last year.

With the news that North Korea's noise broadcasts aimed at the South will also not be heard from this day, interpretations suggest that this decision to cease the loudspeaker broadcasts aimed at the North is being reciprocated.

Earlier, the Ministry of Unification requested on the 9th that civic groups halt the distribution of leaflets aimed at the North. As expectations for economic cooperation grew through the creation of a dialog atmosphere with North Korea, there has been an influx of buying into related stocks.
