Kiwoom Securities said it will hold a 'domestic futures and options real investment competition' on the 9th. Anyone with a domestic futures and options account can participate in this competition.
This competition, which will last for a total of 8 weeks, will have separate leagues for futures and options, with weekly awards in terms of revenue and returns. A total of 96 participants will be selected over 8 weeks for the top 3 participants in each category. Duplicate awards are possible each week.
The total prize pool is 40 million won, with weekly awards of 500,000 won for 1st place, 300,000 won for 2nd place, and 200,000 won for 3rd place. The maximum award amount per customer is limited to 3 million won according to Korea Financial Investment Association regulations.
Kiwoom Securities also noted that to celebrate the introduction of nighttime trading in the derivatives market of the Korea Exchange (KRX), it will conduct an event giving mobile gift cards worth 30,000 won to a total of 200 customers selected through a lottery among those who traded more than one contract of nighttime futures and options.
The newly introduced KRX night derivatives market is directly operated by the Korea Exchange, rather than following the existing method linked to overseas exchanges (Eurex). Trading will be available from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day for a total of 12 hours.
Customers who trade online (Hero Document 4, Hero Document G, Hero Document SF+) through Kiwoom Securities can waive related institution fees until July 31.
Kiwoom Securities is also conducting an event providing fee coupons worth 50,000 won to the first 2,000 customers who registered risk notices in advance. These coupons will be distributed in early August and can be used for both daytime and nighttime transactions.
