Toss announced on the 8th that it hosted its first global recruitment networking event, the "Toss USA Meetup," on the 6th (local time) in Los Altos, California.
On that day, CEO Lee Seung-gun introduced Toss's business vision and an optimized work environment for engineers. Currently, Toss is strengthening its machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities across the company, starting with advertising and commerce, and is promoting the AI-based advancement of all services.
In this process, engineers can grow as AI experts by utilizing a culture of autonomous experimentation, an excellent distribution system, and vast data based on 24.8 million monthly active users (MAU).
The "Toss USA" event location is Toss's global office established in Silicon Valley this year to secure outstanding talent both domestically and internationally. Here, it plans to create a platform for exchanges with engineers worldwide and continue activities to showcase Toss's tech capabilities. To this end, cooperation with local organizations such as the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Silicon Valley Trade Center, Changbal, and the Korean Association of Computer Scientists and Engineers (KOCSEA) is also under consideration.
Toss plans to hire a three-digit number of key personnel in the AI and data sectors this year. To this end, it established the "Data & AI Recruiting Team" last month, which focuses on hiring talent for various roles responsible for Toss's data-driven decision-making and over 100 product-centric infrastructures.
Lee Seung-gun, CEO of Toss, said, "Toss prioritizes securing outstanding engineers and is prepared to offer top-tier compensation that matches that." He added, "We will leap forward as a corporation recognized in the AI field alongside excellent team members."
