The sovereign wealth funds Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) announced on the 4th that it has begun an international finance academy program.
The international finance academy program is an educational initiative aimed at broadening the overseas investment base of domestic institutional investors while training practical experts, and the first lecture was held on this day.
KIC has structured a total of 16 lectures focused on the current status and outlook of the U.S. market, global exchange-traded fund (ETF) investment strategies, and more. The lectures will be held eight times each in the first and second halves of this year.
The faculty includes Yoon Jae-sung, chief investment officer of New York Life Asset Management, among other investment managers from global asset management firms and asset managers from the Korea Investment Corporation.
Park Il-young, president of KIC, noted, “Through the international finance academy lectures, we will strengthen the overseas investment capabilities of domestic financial institutions and contribute to securing international competitiveness.”
