Jung Eun-bo, chairman of the Korea Exchange, plans to depart on the 3rd to attend the 2nd board meeting of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) being held in Singapore.

According to the exchange on the 2nd, this board meeting plans to share recent trends in major capital markets, including the United States and the European Union (EU), and discuss issues related to the introduction of 7-day and 24-hour transactions and changes in the global exchange market environment.

The exchange is participating as the Asia-Pacific regional representative director of the WFE board in setting key agendas for the global capital market.

Chairman Jung will seek the strategic direction of the exchange at this meeting and discuss cooperation methods with overseas exchanges. After that, he is scheduled to attend the WFE Sustainability Conference to exchange opinions with experts on the role of exchanges in sustainable finance.

A representative of the exchange noted, "We will continue to actively participate in discussions on key agendas in the global capital market and will strive to maintain a strategic role in enhancing our international status and developing Korea's capital market."
