Korea Investment Securities announced on the 30th that it will offer a profit-differentiated public fund called "Korea Investment Global Next Wave Fund."
Korea Investment Global Next Wave Fund invests in listed stocks that can benefit from major governments' policies and the trend of diversifying global investment regions.
This public-private fund (private equity fund of funds) invests in seven private funds currently managed under themes such as core technology stocks in China, Chinese companies benefiting from economic stimulus, Europe's leading defense industry, U.S.-centric manufacturing, Korea's export core companies, global value dividends, and global representative companies of the underserved. The fund management is entrusted to Korea Investment Trust Management.
This fund is structured as a profit-differentiated fund prioritizing customers, and Korea Investment Holdings and its affiliates as the subordinate investors. If a loss occurs, subordinate investors will absorb the losses first up to minus (-) 15%.
Conversely, if a profit is generated, revenue will be allocated with priority investors receiving 10% of each private fund's returns, while subordinate investors share the revenue at an 85:15 ratio, and profits exceeding 10% will be divided between priority and subordinate investors at a 55:45 ratio.
The management period is three years. If the yield reaches 15% before maturity, early redemption will occur. If the redemption conditions are met within one year of establishment, it will be redeemed 15 business days after the minimum holding period (one year) has passed; if the redemption conditions are met one year after, it will be redeemed 15 business days from that date.
Subscription for recruitment is open until June 16. The establishment date is June 17. An online class is also available for registration.
