The Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association) noted on the 29th that it held the "1st Scale-up TIPS IR Summit" on the 28th at the Yeoksam Tipstown S1 TIPS Hall.

Scale-up TIPS is considered a private sector-led technology innovation and startup support program promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the VC Association, the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs, and Korea Venture Investment.

If a VC prioritizes investments of at least 1 billion won in promising technology startups, the government provides research and development (R&D) funding support to the corporations.

The VC Association selected 7 out of more than 400 scale-up TIPS corporations that have been chosen since 2022 for this IR summit, providing investment counseling sessions with VCs and autonomous networking time.

Specifically, companies such as NanoBioSystem, Biocom (Bio · Medical), Widget, UCI Therapeutics, Palette, Perigee Aerospace, and Proxy Healthcare participated.

Kim Hak-kyun, chairman of the VC Association, said, "We will continue to steadily expand the platform for consolidation between promising startups and venture investors."
