SK ecoplant's subsidiary SK Airplus has decided to liquidate parts of its industrial gases production facilities and the Materials carbon dioxide division to raise funds.

According to the investment bank (IB) industry on the 29th, SK Airplus is pursuing a plan to either sell or liquidate the production facilities supplying industrial gases to the SK hynix M15 factory in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, along with the Renewtec division. If sold, the price is reported to be about 1.3 trillion won.

SK Airplus is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SK ecoplant. Earlier, in 2022, it sold production facilities supplying industrial gases to the SK hynix M16 factory in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to Brookfield for 1 trillion won, and in 2021 it sold gas supply facilities for the M14 factory in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, to Macquarie Asset Management.

SK Airplus's parent company, SK ecoplant, is also pursuing the sale of its water treatment and waste subsidiary Renewus and its waste landfill subsidiary Renewone as a package. While KKR and STIC Investments participated in the bidding, it is reported that KKR is the only candidate that submitted a meaningful price.
