Korea Investment Holdings is investing 371.1 billion won in Korea Investment Securities' U.S. subsidiary (KIS US) to strengthen local investment bank (IB) capabilities.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 29th, Korea Investment Holdings announced that it would participate in Korea Investment Securities' allocated capital increase for KIS US. It plans to secure a total of 371.1 billion won by acquiring 270 common shares at 1.37466 million won each.

Korea Investment Securities currently operates three entities in the U.S. market: KIS US, KIS America, and SF Credit Partners, which is a joint venture with Stifel Financial.

A representative from Korea Investment Securities noted, “We have secured funds in advance for global business expansion based in the U.S.”
