Samsung Asset Management announced that it will newly list the exchange-traded fund (ETF) 'KODEX U.S. Financial Tech Active' on the 27th, which focuses on investing in U.S. innovative financial companies.

This product is designed based on the iSelect U.S. Next-Generation Financial Tech, developed by NH Investment & Securities. It consists of innovative financial corporations, including ▲ e-commerce payment service platforms ▲ online and offline mobile payment services ▲ BNPL (buy now, pay later) services using big data ▲ fintech platforms.

Among the representative companies are Nubank, the parent company that has been providing digital banking and fintech services in Latin America, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group, the world's largest derivatives exchange. Visa, which possesses blockchain payment technology, and Shopify, an e-commerce platform that also provides payment systems and financial services, as well as BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company and issuer of the Bitcoin spot ETF 'iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT)', are also included in the components.

Additionally, PayPal Holdings, which provides online payment and remittance services, Toast, a payment and management platform exclusively for restaurants, Affirm Holdings, the number one BNPL platform provider, and Global Payments, which offers intercorporate payment services, have also made it onto the KODEX U.S. Financial Tech Active component list.

Digital financial companies are rapidly expanding their business areas and penetrating the institutional financial system quickly. According to Statista Market Insights, internet-only banks are expected to grow at an average of 41.5% annually from 2017 to 2028, while the digital payment market is projected to grow by 10.5% during the same period.

Kim Cheon-heung, a manager at Samsung Asset Management, noted, 'Digital financial companies combined with technology are expanding their business into the areas of existing financial companies,' adding that 'KODEX U.S. Financial Tech Active will be a good opportunity to invest in the growing U.S. digital financial industry.'
