The Korea Financial Investment Association noted on the 26th that mobile identification will be recognized as valid identification for all qualification tests organized by the association. This will apply from the 35th Derivatives Investment Advisor Qualification Certification Exam to be held on June 1.
Recognized mobile identification includes "mobile driver's license (issued by the Korean National Police Agency)," "mobile resident registration card (issued by local governments)," "mobile veterans registration card (issued by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs)," and "mobile public servant card (issued by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety)."
The applications used for identity verification are "mobile identification," "Samsung Pay," and "mobile public servant card." The effectiveness of identity verification services such as Government24 and Pass will not be recognized. A representative from the Korea Financial Investment Association said, "We are reviewing plans to expand the recognition scope based on the adoption trend of mobile identification."
To verify mobile identification before the exam starts, the entry deadline for the examination room (the examinee's own classroom) will be changed to 9:40 a.m. starting from the exam on June 1. After the entry deadline, it will not be possible to take the exam, so the association urged examinees to check the location of the examination room in advance and arrive with ample time. The location of the examination rooms in each testing center can be found in the announcements on the Korea Financial Investment Association Qualification Exam Center website.
The association also recommended that examinees who will carry mobile identification check in advance that the related applications are functioning properly by the day before the exam and that they prepare the smartphone's battery status and network environment so that the identification screen can be verified without delay in the examination room.
