The six major banks (KB Financial Group, Shinhan, Hana, Woori, NH Nonghyup, and Industrial Bank of Korea) announced on the 22nd that they signed a mutual cooperation agreement for the 'banking sector identity verification service interoperability' at the Woori Bank headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 21st.

The identity verification service is used for identity confirmation when signing up for membership online or changing customer information.

Under this agreement, each bank plans to add authentication certificates from other banks as identity verification methods for mobile banking.

The six major banks plan to review the expansion of identity verification services for public institutions and private corporations in the future.
