The World Class Corporations Association announced on the 19th that it held the '2025 CEO Workshop.' The workshop took place over two days at the Yongpyong Resort Dragon Valley Hotel from the 16th. About 90 representatives and employees of member corporations and officials from related agencies attended.
Yoon Dong-han, chairman of Kolmar Korea, gave a lecture on the theme of 'entrepreneurship learning from General Lee Sun-sin' at the workshop. Chairman Yoon noted that 'a great leader must have four virtues: listening (communication), decision-making (determination for life and death), victory (thorough preparation and strategy), and love (prioritizing rewards and punishments and talent).'
Yoon Sung-ho, CEO of MakinaRocks, introduced a case of improving productivity through the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) agents, and Hwang Joo-ho, president of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, emphasized that promising mid-sized corporations should pursue technological innovation based on nuclear power.
Kim Eun-jung, Director General of the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), introduced key aspects of the government's support policy for the growth of mid-sized corporations and noted that the member corporations of the World Class Corporations Association received more than 900 growth supports last year, which is a 14% increase compared to 2023.
Yoo Pil-hwa, an honorary professor at Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School of Business, discussed the importance of profit-centered corporate management over revenue, while Seo Dae-il, Deputy Minister of Mirae Asset Securities, talked about the environment and strategies of the global financial market in the era of Trump 2.0.
Lee Joon-hyuk, chairman of the World Class Corporations Association, said, 'Through this workshop, we will gain strength through mutual encouragement and exchange, and in the process, we will create an innovative mindset that can transform crises into opportunities by sharing high-quality information.'
