Korea Investment & Securities announced on the 8th that its Indonesian subsidiary KIS Indonesia has launched a new mobile trading system (MTS) called 'iKISI.'

iKISI combines applications that were previously separated for stock transactions, account openings, and fund transactions into one. Korea Investment & Securities explained that it also introduced biometric authentication for the essential order function of PIN authentication and applied a streamlined user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).

Korea Investment & Securities noted that it focused on applying intuitive UX design so that new investors could easily access the service, considering the local environment in Indonesia, where the proportion of stock investors is only about 5.3%.

Korea Investment & Securities expects that this Indonesian MTS will also yield results, as its Vietnamese subsidiary KIS Vietnam experienced a 26% increase in new accounts after launching the new MTS iKISI last March.

A representative from Korea Investment & Securities said, “We expect the Indonesian iKISI to quickly gain a foothold in the market, especially among the local youth. Through the development of the MTS, we plan to further enhance our competitiveness in the global financial market and solidify our leading position in the Southeast Asian digital financial market.”
