The Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced that Jung Jeong-hoon (58) was inaugurated as the new president on the 7th.
During the inauguration ceremony held on the 3rd floor of the Busan International Finance Center (BIFC) in Nam-gu, Busan, President Jung noted, “Our economy is facing unpredictable challenges such as digital and energy transitions and intensified global competition amid uncertain domestic and international conditions,” and emphasized, “KAMCO must prioritize the people in all our projects, including supporting the recovery of vulnerable groups, aiding the resurgence of small and medium-sized enterprises, and enhancing public asset utilization for the benefit of citizens.” He further urged the employees to “lead the future through continuous innovation and foster a united KAMCO based on communication and trust.”
President Jung has extensive experience in tax policy and public asset management within the Ministry of Economy and Finance after passing the 37th administrative services examination in 1993. He has been leading tax operations as the head of the Tax Policy Division at the Ministry of Economy and Finance since 2023.
