Yuanta Securities Korea announced on the 14th that the first green project bond in Cambodia, overseen by its Cambodian subsidiary (Yuanta Securities Cambodia), has been listed on the Cambodian Stock Exchange. Trading began locally on the 11th.

The newly listed green project bond is worth about $50 million and was exclusively managed by Yuanta Securities Cambodia. The funds raised will be used to support the expansion of the solar infrastructure of Cambodia's largest solar development company “SchneiTec Dynamic” and the transition to energy independence and clean energy sources in Cambodia.

Han Gyeong-tae, the head of Yuanta Securities Cambodia, noted, “The issuance of this green project bond will be an important first step for the development of both the Cambodian bond market and the renewable energy institutional sector,” and added, “We will continue to strive to play our role in the Cambodian financial market.”

Yuanta Securities Cambodia first stepped into Cambodia in 2006 as the first domestic securities firm and received its comprehensive securities firm qualification by the end of 2011.
