The Korea Exchange announced on the 27th that it will hold the 'WFE CLEAR 2025' conference at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, from the 1st to the 3rd of next month.
WFE CLEAR is the world's largest clearing and derivatives conference organized by the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE). It serves as an international exchange venue where prominent figures from domestic and foreign exchanges, central clearinghouses (CCPs), regulatory authorities, financial institutions, and academia and industry experts gather to share knowledge and experience.
About 170 participants are expected to attend the event, including Lee Yoon-soo, Commissioner of the Securities and Futures Commission, Nandini Sukumar, CEO of WFE, Summer Mersinger, and Christy Goldsmith Romero, Commissioners of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), along with opinion leaders from various fields.
The conference will consist of four sessions, including keynote speeches, capacity building, panel discussions, and research paper presentations, fostering in-depth discussions on the latest trends and future outlook in the global clearing and derivatives sector.
A Korea Exchange official noted, "It is expected that the conference will seek sustainable growth and new possibilities for the global clearing and derivatives industry," adding, "I hope it will lead to cooperation among domestic and foreign institutions, promoting the development and innovation of the securities and derivatives industry in South Korea."
