The Korea Exchange announced on the 27th that it selected outstanding listed companies and outstanding disclosure committee members for the 2024 securities market (KOSPI market).
The outstanding listed companies include JB Financial Group, LIG Nex1, POSCO Holdings, SK Innovation, Celltrion, Shinsegae, Kolmar Korea, and Hyundai Motor Company.
The English outstanding listed companies include LX International, Samsung C&T, and Hyundai Rotem. Additionally, the head of team in charge of disclosure at BGF, Kim Chan-ki, was selected as an outstanding disclosure committee member.
Becoming an outstanding listed company comes with benefits such as exemption from annual fees and listing fees for one year after selection, and a one-time postponement of designation as a company with unsatisfactory disclosure for five years.
Yang Tae-young, head of the KOSPI market division of the Korea Exchange, noted, “I appreciate companies for faithfully fulfilling their disclosure obligations despite the difficult business environment” and urged them to actively communicate with investors through the corporate value-up program and English disclosures to help resolve the Korea discount.
