Almost half a year has passed since singer Koo Jun-yeob's wife and Taiwanese actress Shih Ying-wen passed away, but Koo Jun-yeob is still keeping watch by her side.
On the 27th, Taiwan media ETtoday reported that Koo Jun-yeob still visits Shih Ying-wen's grave every day.
According to the report, an internet user shared a story on the same day on their social media about having seen Koo Jun-yeob while visiting to pay respects to Shih Ying-wen.
The internet user, who went to Jinbao Mountain to pay respects at Shih Ying-wen's grave, noted, "At first, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find the grave's location. But when I turned the corner, I saw a man sitting in the middle of the graveyard, and upon closer inspection, it was Koo Jun-yeob."
"He politely said, 'Thank you for coming,' and just seeing that made me feel a deep sadness," they added. "The pain of suddenly losing a lifelong love is truly hard to imagine. He seems to be the man with the most profound love I have ever seen. I hope he can soon overcome this sadness."
The photo shared by the internet user showed Koo Jun-yeob sitting on a chair in front of Shih Ying-wen's grave, adding to the sense of loss.
Meanwhile, the late Shih Ying-wen passed away on February 2 at a hospital in Tokyo, Japan. After departing for Japan with family for a trip on the 29th of the previous month, she was transported to the emergency room on the third day of the trip but ultimately passed away from pneumonia due to the flu. Subsequently, her family laid her to rest in Jinbao Mountain, Taiwan.
In particular, Koo Jun-yeob has reportedly stopped all activities and has not been seen in public since his wife's death, and he is said to have lost nearly 12 kg recently. He has been spending nights in tears, continuing his deep mourning for her.
Koo Jun-yeob is known to visit the grave of the deceased at Jinbao Mountain every day, and there are rumors that he is looking into dwellings near where Shih Ying-wen's grave is located.
