Model Jeong-hyeok confessed that he made tremendous revenue through Bitcoin.
On the afternoon of the 26th, MBN's entertainment program 'Let's Go Go Season 5' showcased model Song Kyung-a's special pottery collection, unique wealth management, and a dress room reminiscent of a vintage editing shop.
Song Kyung-a's junior model Jeong-hyeok proudly shared wealth management insights comparable to his senior's, saying, "I haven't lived well since childhood, so I'm trying to lead a life of adding to my bank account. You shouldn't put all your investments in one place; you should buy land, engage in real estate, and deal with coins and stocks as well." He added, "I'm 35 years old but have not bought a house. Intentionally, I bought land instead. I believe that was a good purchase. While everyone bought a lot of real estate and the prices soared, it was at 10 million won, and now it has fallen to 3 to 4 million won. On the other hand, the land value has doubled. I've visited some lots, and water happened to come out of one. It turned out to be a hot spring, which I bought," revealing his expertise in the field.
Currently, he lives a stable life through excellent wealth management, but in the past, Jeong-hyeok experienced a difficult time due to his impoverished family background. He noted in various programs like 'Salim-nam' that, "I lived in the basement my whole life, was even scammed, and became a basic livelihood recipient because my household was poor. On weekends, I would go to the community center to receive rice, kimchi, ramen, and other necessities. I couldn't wear nice clothes, so I experienced being bullied. I heard things like, 'Why are you so dirty?'" He disclosed, "I first went to a house with a restroom when I was 25. When I lived with my dad, we stayed in a place without a bathroom. It was a shared restroom, and the door wouldn't lock. When people came, we had to yell, 'There’s someone here.' The community center was next door and opened until 6 p.m., so I tried to finish everything before then."
On that day, MC Hong Hyun-hee asked, "Have you ever failed in investments?" Jeong-hyeok replied, "I've had both failures and many successes. The most memorable was when Bitcoin exploded. It was in 2018, quite a while ago. At that time, I was only doing modeling and not appearing on broadcasts, so I didn't even have 10 million won in my bank account. I fully invested 8 million won, and the next day it turned into the price of a used car, and the day after that it became an SUV. It rose to over a billion won, then fell due to an issue. I still remember that, and in the next season, in 2022, another bullish market came back," explaining how he made considerable revenue.
Ahn Jung-hwan expressed envy, saying, "You don't have to work anymore," to which Jeong-hyeok replied, "You have to work. These days, I'm buying gold. I've been buying it since the year before last, and it has gone up a lot. When buying gold, you have to look at the global economy. There are significant fluctuations and issues, so I've been buying gold since the year before last, and it continues to rise. You can diversify your investments."
